Add a stop check
Pause a form until a named reviewer approves, for hold points and sign-offs.
Before you start
- A form in draft.
- The people who will approve have accounts in your organization.
A stop check is a hold point inside a form. When someone reaches it, they submit the stop check and wait. The form can't be submitted until every stop check has been approved.
When to use a stop check
- A supervisor must confirm equipment is isolated before maintenance continues.
- A second person must verify a count or measurement.
- A manager must approve before work starts at a customer site.
Set up a stop check
- Add the block On the Build tab, add a stop check where the work should pause.
- Describe what to check Fill in Reviewer Description with exactly what the reviewer should confirm before approving.
- Choose reviewers Under Internal Reviewers, search for and add the people who can approve.
- Set notifications (optional) Turn on Notify on item completion to alert selected users. You can also add outside email addresses under Additional email recipient(s).
- Publish Publish the form so the stop check goes live.
Important
A stop check with no reviewers can't be completed, and the person filling out the form will be stuck. Always add at least one reviewer, and update reviewers when people change roles.
