Forms glossary
Plain-language definitions for drafts, revisions, assignments, submissions and more.
These terms appear throughout the Portal and the app.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Form | The reusable template. You build it once and use it many times. |
| Draft | A version of the form you are still editing. People can't fill out a draft. |
| Revision | A saved version of the form. Publishing a revision makes it the live version. |
| Published | The revision people see when they open the form. |
| Assignment | A request for specific people to fill out the form, optionally with an availability date, a due date, and an Urgent flag. |
| Submission | One completed (or in-progress) response to a form. |
| Library | The list of forms anyone in your organization can start without an assignment. |
| Stop check | A point in the form where work pauses until a named reviewer approves it. |
| Score | An automatic result calculated from the answers, if scoring is turned on. |
| Outcome band | A score range with a label, such as Pass, Needs attention or Fail. |
| Review | An administrator's decision on a submission: approve or reject. |
