Create a job
Add a site, project or contract, and nest areas or phases under it.
A job is where work happens. Forms, planners, time, Log-Its, documents and training can all be linked to a job, so you can see everything about it in one place.
Jobs in different industries
- Construction: a building project, with child jobs for each floor.
- Facilities: a client site, with child jobs for each building.
- Field service: a customer contract.
- Healthcare: a ward or department.
- Start Select Add Job in the menu, or go to Company › Jobs.
- Name it Add a name and a short code. Codes can use letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores, such as NORTH-01.
- Describe it Add a description and the address.
- Set dates Add Starts On and Ends On if the job has a fixed duration.
- Nest it (optional) Choose a parent job to make this a child job.
- Limit who can see it (optional) Turn on Only assigned people and groups can find and use this job for confidential work.
- Save Save the job.
Child jobs
Use child jobs to break a job into areas, phases or buildings. They appear nested under the parent in the workspace, and labels on the parent apply to them too.
