Choose a planner type
Task, Inspection, Safety and Report planners, and when to use each.
You choose a type when you create a planner. The type decides what you can build into it.
| Type | Use it when | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Task Planner | Work is a set of steps that people complete and record. | Tasks with forms, files, photos, time tracking and prerequisites. Can be shared by a whole crew. |
| Inspection Planner | You're checking items against defined criteria. | Inspection items, each with pass/fail criteria, severity and documentation requirements. |
| Safety Planner | Work needs identified risks and controls before it starts. | Risks rated for likelihood and severity, and controls that must be verified before tasks are completed. |
| Report Planner | You're documenting what was found and following it up. | A reporting workspace with evidence and follow-up actions. |
Picking a type
- Cleaning a set of rooms and photographing each one: Task Planner.
- Checking 40 fire extinguishers against a standard: Inspection Planner.
- Working at height or in a confined space: Safety Planner.
- Writing up a site visit with photos and actions: Report Planner.
Tip
Start with a Task Planner if you aren't sure. It's the most flexible type and covers most day-to-day work.
